Who is Ariane Ochoa?

My name is Ariane Ochoa Torres and I´m a surfer from the Basque Country. I started surfing following the steps of my big sister when I was 5-6 years old. At the age of 8 years I took part in my first surf contest. All this years, with the support of my family I have been able to keep compiting and growing as a sportive.

Nowadays, I follow the dream to take part at the Olympic Games. To became my dream true, I´m Trying everyday to be a better sportive in all the ways

What is surfing in your life?

Surf for me is a lifestyle and the way to be away from the problems. Also, is a way to try to be better person and sportive everyday and try find the best version of myself.

Describe yourself as a surfer

 I´m a surfer that enjoys every types of conditions. I like to go outside of my confort zone, try new types of wave a conditions. Also I like to hitt the lip of the wave strongly and surf powerfull waves.

What is your advice to someone who wants to order a surfboard?

I would advise you to put yourself in the hands of someone who knows about surfboards. I also think it´s essential to test many types of boards if you could have the opportunity to do it.

Lastly, I would recommend that people not be too hasty in ordering boards that require more years of experience and skill. The key to find the right board is to take into account your level of surfing, the type of wave you usually surf, your strengths and weaknesses in order to adapt the board to your needs.
